Overview
In addition to strong, Bible-based, Christian instruction, Christ Lutheran School is known for our academic excellence. Students at Christ Lutheran School are challenged to grow in their academic pursuits. We encourage this through a rigorous academic program and by holding students accountable for the completion of assignments. By equipping students with organizational and problem-solving skills, we prepare them for future academic success.
Annually our third through eighth grade students take the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS), a standardized assessment test that evaluates academic knowledge. Our school ranks 40% above the national average in core academic areas. Our eighth grade graduates successfully enter public and private high schools, well-prepared for Honors and Advanced Placement classes.
Our teaching staff works closely together to coordinate a cohesive learning environment where students are well prepared to take on the challenges of each new school year. Christ Lutheran students learn to set, pursue, and accomplish goals, communicate their ideas and feelings in various media, demonstrate positive citizenship, and give faithful witness to their faith in Jesus Christ.
