Welcome to Christ Lutheran Middle School in La Mesa, CA. I’ll get right to the point. If your child is not enrolled at Christ Lutheran Elementary School then you need to choose Christ Lutheran School today because we educate with Jesus Christ. Middle school is a big transition and in today’s day and age, you either educate your children with Jesus Christ, or they will be educated against Him.

Your child is preparing to become a responsible young adult here at CLS to prepare him/her for high school, college, and life. At CLS, it is not about surviving middle school; it is about embarking on a life- changing journey of knowing Jesus, discovering the gifts that God has given your child, growing through rigorous academics, building lasting friendships, being educated by people who care for him/her ,and knowing daily about God’s love. Here at CLS we partner with parents. CLS is where you want your children to be for middle school.

Is your student worried about a small private Christian school atmosphere? From a Student

My name is Dagny Daniel and I attended Christ Lutheran School for nine years. Christ Lutheran was my whole life for those nine years, and moving on from 8th grade at CLS to a different school was hard. All I had ever known was Christ Lutheran. But, as I see it, having a hard time leaving CLS was one of the best things that could have happened. It shows how important and beneficial Christ Lutheran was to me. I truly consider Chris Lutheran my second home and the greatest tool in my growth in the Lord, my academics, and my social skills. I would not be the person I am, nor who I will become, without CLS.

Students who graduate from other schools, larger schools, may not have difficulty moving on. They may, in fact, anticipate it with excitement and relief. At Christ Lutheran, the amazing bonds you develop with teachers (some of the most incredible people I know) and the way you grow to know God on such a meaningful level, leaving is very much like leaving your home and family.

I still feel welcome at CLS and whenever I see the teachers, I am greeted with a huge hug. The academics at Christ Lutheran were rigorous and challenging, but very rewarding. There was always help offered to students and an environment where anything less than your best was not acceptable. I can still recall the morning devotions we had and the touching chapel services. My interactions with teachers and my peers led me to grow strong in my faith in Christ and let me become a person of confidence!

Every aspect of my time at CLS was wonderful and I glow with pride to say, “I was a student at Christ Lutheran School, La Mesa!” I am now adjusted to my high school and use the skills that Christ Lutheran gave me every day. High school would be extremely rocky if not for CLS, who gave me the tools necessary to get the most out of my high school experience. Thank you, Christ Lutheran!
