Fostering Excellence, Character, and Teamwork through Faith-Inspired Sportsmanship
Students in Kindergarten through 6th Grade participate in a Physical Education course twice a week, building fine and gross motor skills, teaching good sportsmanship, and promoting teamwork. Students experience several units of study throughout the year, weaving the fundamental skills into major sports studies.
Students in 7th and 8th Grade participate in a Physical Education course three times a week and dress out in PE uniforms. 7th and 8th-grade students also take the Presidential Physical Fitness Test each quarter.
Starting in 5th grade, students are invited to participate in our after-school league for Girls Volleyball (fall), Boys Basketball (Winter), and Girls Basketball (Spring).
Participation on these teams is voluntary. A fee is applied for each sport to cover the cost of the jersey/uniform and league fees. Â
Part of being a successful athlete is being academically responsible. Christ Lutheran School strives to produce strong student-athletes who are confident in both school and team commitments. All students must maintain acceptable grades in order to play.
